These Garden State icons really know how to bring down the house.

Queen Latifah, Naughty by Nature, Redman, Fetty Wap, Ice-T and Wyclef Jean closed down the VMAs on Monday (August 26) with an epic live collaboration. The one thing all these amazing artists have in common? They're New Jersey natives, of course. MTV tapped them for the award shows' finale in order to pay tribute to the Garden State. The VMAs were held at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ this year for the first time ever.

Though New Jersey often gets a bad rap (armpit of the United States, anyone?), there's no denying some of the best music artists hail from here. Just to name a few: Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Jonas Brothers (who also performed at the VMAs), Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon and Whitney Houston, among many others. How could MTV host the VMAs in New Jersey and not address the Garden State's epic musical legacy?

The artist's performed an unforgettable medley of all their biggest hits, including Fetty's "Trap Queen" and Wyclef Jean's "Gone Til November." The highlight, though, was Queen Latifah's performance of "U.N.I.T.Y," which had the whole crowd dancing and singing along. And, yes, she did arrive for the performance on a motorcycle.

What did you think of this very Jersey tribute?
