As Hurricane Dorian slowly moved toward Florida and gathered strength, residents began preparing for the worst. Dorian became a massive Category 5 storm forcing people to board up their homes and evacuate before the hurricane made landfall.
Patrick Eldridge was concerned that his Smart car would blow away due to strong wind gusts, so he decided to bring it inside and park it in his kitchen
Patrick's wife, Jessica, shared photos of the tiny car sitting comfortably in the kitchen on Facebook.

The Smart car fit with plenty of room to spare, and the couple still had enough space to use their kitchen during the storm.
By the time Dorian finally reached Florida, it had been downgraded to a Category 2 storm but still brought heavy winds and flooding rains as it slowly inched up the coastline toward Georgia and South Carolina.
