Ariana Grande is suing Forever 21 for $10 million for profiting off her sparkling look in her "7 rings" music video, but the pop titan's number may have inspired by someone else.

On Wednesday (September 4), RuPaul's Drag Race star Farrah Moan took to Twitter to comment on Grande's lawsuit and share side-by-side photos of herself and the singer in their respective outfits. "Ariana should give me a cut of that 10M since her team literally sent a pic of me to the designer and paid them to copy my look from as4. (Finally met the designer and got told the Tea) I guess stealing from queer artists for profit is fine tho," she captioned the post.

Moan went on to clarify that the culprits to the debacle are Grande's team. "If that queen didnt recreate it, they woulda found someone who would. When ur team makes a mistake, it falls on u. Idc what the lawsuit is really about, her legal team is accusing theft of likeness, image, w/e," she continued. Additionally, Moan revealed that the designer who created the singer's video look was "a local queen," who was paid plenty to create the number.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Grande and her team were in talks for a deal with Forever 21 in December 2018 up until January, but the mega-retailer didn't want to pay enough to use her name and likeness. Instead, the company reportedly stole it from Grande for a campaign, which was shared across social media and their website, and hired a look-alike model to spread her influence. In court documents obtained by the celebrity gossip outlet, Forever 21 has reportedly published at least 30 unauthorized images and videos misappropriating the singer's name and likeness, particularly a look from the "7 rings" clip.

Elsewhere in the documents, Grande claimed that the campaign's intent was "to create a false perception" that the singer was backing the brand. Riley Rose, the store that was launched by the daughters of Forever 21's founder, was also allegedly involved in the campaign's conceptualization.
