Who says you can’t put a price on nostalgia?
I’ve taken a closer look at reviews of that 40th Anniversary Sony Walkman and it’s a really cool trip down memory lane.
The Walkman from 40 years ago was an iconic thing and “THE” item to own.
Blue and silver in design, it really was a thing of history – and what it did to music, being able to take it with us as we walked around in our double denim.
The 40th-anniversary version is actually a little smart device (think of an Android smartphone without a SIM card).
It’s got a touch screen but you can connect to wifi, download apps, and put your own music on it.
This one has 40th Anniversary logos on it and also comes with a really cool little flip case that looks identical to the original.
But my favourite feature of all is a little window on the front of the case so when it’s flipped shut you can actually see through to the touch screen, and when you’re playing music a cassette appears on the screen and the dials of the cassette are turning!.
It’ll be available in Australia by Christmas and set you back around $600…pplleeaassee Santa!
