Lil Nas X is hopping off his high horse for a little while.

According to XXL, the "Old Town Road" rapper broke news to his fans via Twitter on Friday (Sept. 27) that he would be cancelling two upcoming shows because he will be talking some time off.

"It’s been a wild last 7 months and im ready to take a little time off," he wrote on Twitter. "Sorry to everyone attending twitchcon or the sandbox music festival, i will not be there. i love u guys and will make it up to you some way."

The 20-year old rapper has had a successful couple of months from winning Song of the Year at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards, to breaking the record for the longest-running No. 1 single on the charts.

Nas X did not elaborate further on how long he would on his musical hiatus but we're hoping it doesn't last forever.
