A Taco Bell Cantina will open in the former home of Restaurant Mexico on Mill Avenue. The family-owned business closed in 2019 after 42 years in downtown Tempe.

According to AZ Central,

This will be the second Taco Bell Cantina to open in Arizona, after thefirst opened in downtown Phoenix early this year.  A spokesperson from Taco Bell confirmed that the new cantina is slated to open by the end of 2019.

So what is Taco Bell Cantina? It features an "urban restaurant design, open kitchen, custom menu with shareable appetizers and alcoholic beverages," according to the company's website.
