Iconic Rochester Musician Bat McGrath Dies at 73.

Musician Bat McGrath died Tuesday night at his home in Tennessee with his wife Tricia Cast. He was 73-years-old. McGrath, a member of the Rochester Music Hall of Fame, was diagnosed with cancer on Dec. 12 after a colonoscopy. Cancer had already spread to his liver. McGrath performed a concert in Rochester in January before a packed house. In the early 1960s, a teenage McGrath was part of a band called The Showstoppers that was signed by Columbia Records. Afterward, he joined guitarist/songwriter Don Potter in Rochester as a duo that released an album on Epic Records.
