Have you ever dreamed of living like royalty? Well, there's a new job opportunity that would require you to live in Buckingham Palace. You may not get all the same perks as Queen Elizabeth and other members of the royal family, but living at Buckingham Palace is as close as the rest of us will get to being royalty ourselves.
So, what position is The Firm hiring for? A full-time vacancy for a "Liveried Helper" to work for the Royal Family opened earlier this month. For those scratching your heads, wondering what, exactly, a "Liveried Helper" is, Collins Dictionary defines it as "one who wears a special uniform."
This particular position calls for somebody with a "passion for horses" who can help train and care for Queen Elizabeth's own horses. Accommodation on palace grounds is provided alongside a salary of £22,400 per year, which is roughly equal $27,600. The job will be based at Royal Mews in Buckingham Palace.
The job's responsibilities include exercising and training the royal horses regularly, as well getting them ready for their role in ceremonial activities. Other duties include mucking the stables, cleaning saddlery and harnesses to keep the Royal Mews "in the very best condition," according to the listing.
The palace is taking application until October 10. Interviews will be held on October 21 and 22. Will you be applying?
