Motorcyclist Survives 47-Foot Fall After Crashing His Bike

A motorcyclist is lucky to be alive after crashing his bike on a highway in Kansas City, Missouri. Police say the 31-year-old man, who has not been identified, was traveling southbound on a black Kawasaki motorcycle when he suddenly lost control of the bike and struck a concrete barrier along the outside lane.

The man was thrown from his bike and landed 47 feet below the elevated highway. He suffered multiple broken bones in the crash and was rushed to the hospital. He is listed in serious condition but is expected to survive.

Officials have not determined what caused the driver to lose control and to crash his motorcycle.
