A 21-year-old woman was shot and killed near a New Mexico park while playing Pokemon Go. Cayla Campos was driving by Bianchetti Park in Albuquerque with her boyfriend looking for Pokemon when they witnessed two armed men in a vehicle trying to rob the occupants of another car.

Campos started to turn her vehicle around, but the robbers saw her leaving and opened fire. Campos was struck in the back of the head, which caused her to lose control and crash into a nearby house.

Campos was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Officials did not identify her boyfriend or say if he was injured in the crash.

The robbers fled the scene before the police arrived. Officials have no leads in the case and are asking the public for help identifying the suspects or the victims they tried to rob.

"The two vehicles involved were a red car (possibly a Ford Mustang) and a silver four-door sedan," the statement said. "APD is asking the victims of the 'robbery' or anyone else with information to please come forward. They can contact 242-COPS with information."
