KPOP START UP: TXT

Last week we touched on the concept of dongsaeng and sunbaenim, dongsaeng meaning "little sibling" and sunbaenim being a term of respect for someone who's been in your field of work longer than you have. This week for the KPOP Start Up we're covering BTS's dongsaengs, TXT or Tomorrow X Together. Debuting earlier this year they are now one of two exclusive acts signed to Big Hit Entertainment, the driving force behind global superstars BTS.
TXT consists of five members:
- Soobin (Leader, Vocalist, Rapper, Dancer)
- Yeonjun (Rapper, Dancer, Vocalist)
- Beomgyu (Vocalist, Dancer, Rapper, Center, Visual)
- Taehyun (Vocalist, Dancer)
- Huening Kai (Vocalist, Dancer, Rapper, Visual, Maknae)
Like BTS, their body of work is driven by highly conceptual albums and powerful choreography. Their newest album that dropped earlier this week, The Dream Chapter: MAGIC, was highly influenced by the Harry Potter franchise and even features a single titled 9 and 3/4.
