Now that Halloween has passed, Starbucks is ready to get into the holiday spirit a bit early. The coffee giant just dropped a festive frappuccino for fans to sip on as Christmas inches closer and closer. The only catch, though, is that the Strawberry Cake Frappuccino is currently only available in Japan.

Starbucks Japan announced their exciting new menu item on Twitter, revealing the Merry Strawberry Cake Frappuccino was available beginning last Friday (November 1). Not only does it sound super tasty, it also looks like Christmas in a cup. The red and white color scheme is perfect for the holiday season.

So, what exactly is in this new frapp? According to Starbucks Japan, it will unsurprisingly taste a lot like a traditional strawberry shortcake. There frapp even includes a piece of sponge cake at the bottom of the cup, as well as a bright red strawberry sauce, sponge cake-flavored crumbs. The beverage is topped off with whipped cream and freeze-dried strawberries.

If you're not down for a frozen beverage in the chilly fall/winter weather, Starbucks Japan also a dropped a hot version of the frapp. While the two beverages are pretty similar, they're just different enough to warrant trying both. The Merry Strawberry Cake Milk is described as "hot beverage with strawberry sauce and sponge cake-flavored milk." Is your mouth watering yet?

Starbucks over here in the U.S. has yet to drop their holiday menu, but this is definitely an indication that there are some tasty treats headed our way soon. There's some speculation an Irish Cream Cold Brew will be hitting stateside Starbucks locations in early December, so, be on the look out for that.
