As MTV's hit reality show The Osbournes approaches the 15th anniversary of its final episode airing, Kelly Osbourne reveals that her family is constantly approached about bringing back the series.
The daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, and one of the stars of the original show, Kelly says her family never gave much thought to the idea of a reboot until a recent conversation with an unnamed party.
She added that as time goes by, and as the family keeps declining, the offers are getting more intriguing.
"It keeps coming 'round. Right now there's another offer on the table and I think this is the closest we've ever come to accepting one. But whether that will happen or not, I don't know."
Kelly confirmed that her mother, father and younger brother Jack aren't outright opposed to welcoming camera crews back into their lives (Jack had a short-lived History channel series with his father that wrapped in 2018), but there are other considerations nowadays than there were back in 2002, when the show began filming.
"We've got other people to think about," she noted. "My brother's got three kids. Do we want that life for them without them being old enough to choose if they want to do it or not, like my brother and I were?"
While The Osbournes was a mostly light-hearted show, MTV's cameras captured a number of serious moments, including Sharon's battle with cancer and Kelly and Jack's battles with drugs and alcohol abuse.
Ozzy, too, later revealed that he was drunk or stoned for nearly all three years of filming.
Sharon said this fall that although she looks back fondly on the series, and thinks of some episodes as home videos of their family, she acknowledged that the show was hard for Kelly and Jack. She thinks it would be even more difficult in the social media age.
