Slick Woods has been diagnosed with cancer.

The 23-year-old model — whose real name is Simone Thompson — took to Instagram on Wednesday (November 20) to reveal her diagnosis, captioning a photo of her dancing with friends: "How I feel about chemotherapy, shout out to everyone that gotta go through it." She then jokingly added the hashtag, “At least I’m Bald already.”

Slick later spoke to The Shade Room about her diagnosis, explaining that she is battling stage 3 melanoma skin cancer. The outlet added that Slick's "cancer is spreading" and the young model is "currently fighting for her life."

Slick though is remaining positive. In a second Instagram post, she asked that people not pity her, captioning a photo of her son Saphir, "Stop treating me like a victim."

The model's famous friends have been sending her well wishes. Taraji P. Henson commented on Slick's initial post, "You are already on the other side of this heathy and strong like it never happened. I adore you🙌🏾🙏🏾💋💋💋." La La Anthony also wrote, "Love u sis."

The runway star's cancer diagnosis comes one year after she gave birth to Saphir. As fans know, Slick famously went into labor with him after walking Rihanna's Savage x Fenty runway show in September 2018.
