Fans of Netflix's historical drama The Crown are in for a treat. Though Olivia Colman has taken over the role of Queen Elizabeth from Claire Foy in the third season, the original star will reportedly return for the fourth season. Don't worry about Colman, though, she isn't going anywhere, either.
As fans know, the third season of The Crown jumped ahead in time with Colman playingan older version of the long reigning monarch. Foy, who played Queen Elizabeth in the early years of her reign, was spotted filming new scenes for the show by The Daily Mail. She will appear once again as the younger version of Queen Elizabeth.
The scenes Foy was filming are believed to be from the Queen's 21st birthday speech, which will be featured as a flashback for Colman's version of Elizabeth. Foy was spotted wearing a white dress and pearl necklace similar to the one the real Queen Elizabeth wore for the historic radio broadcast. You can check out photos of Foy in character once again on The Daily Mail's site.
Perhaps we'll still get to see Colman's iteration of Queen Elizabeth via flashbacks in future seasons. There are rumors that Netflix has already found Colman's replacement, as well. Imelda Staunton is reportedly in talks to take over the role in seasons five and six.
Are you excited to see Foy return to The Crown?
