Dan + Shay Bring Jingle Ball to Kids Facing Cancer in DC

The holidays are a time of giving and Dan + Shay helped make this time of year a little brighter for young cancer patients at the Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C. Ahead of their performance at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball, the duo — teaming up with Aflac, Musicians on Call and iHeartRadio — brought the annual holiday show to children facing cancer, who couldn't make it to the show this year, with a special performance at the children's hospital.

Dan + Shay's Dan Smyers said of their performance, "The power of music can help somebody get through a lot of things. That's honestly one of our favorite parts of doing what we do. We get to come in here today and meet patients, meet family members, and do a little concert."

Shay Mooney added, "We get to actually see the impact that your music makes on people, face to face. Just seeing the joy that music brings, it kind of reminds us how much bigger music is."

Dan also said, "We've made such good friends with the folks at Aflac, Musicians on Call, iHeartRadio — they're all doing such incredible things using the power of music to help people." He added, "Doing this reminds us why we do what we do. We saw a lot of smiles today and we walked away with smiles on our faces as well."

After the performance, the guys shared some photos of their day at Children's National Hospital, and wrote of the experience, "Had the best time bringing the #iHeartJingleBall to the incredible kids + families at @childrensnational with our partners @iHeartRadio @aflacduck @musiciansoncall. music is truly healing and we're always grateful for days like this."
