New 'Schitt's Creek' Trailer Teases David & Patrick's Wedding

Even though we don't want to believe it, Schitt's Creek is coming to an end in 2020. A new, full-length trailer for the upcoming final season just dropped and it's super emotional. While we're getting ready to say goodbye to the Rose family, they're preparing for David and Patrick's upcoming wedding. Cue the emotions.

The trailer kicks off with an hilarious ad for the upgraded Rosebud Motel. Moira steps in to lend Johnny and Stevie a hand with her star power, telling viewers they'll "find comfort and safety at the partially renovated Rosebud Motel." Later on in the trailer, Johnny is left feeling sentimental about his family's stay in Schitt's Creek. "There is value in these motels. My family and I have been staying in a motel for the past three years, and I wouldn't trade our stay there for anything," he says in a voiceover.

While Schitt's Creek is still loved by fans and critics alike, co-creator and star Dan Levy still felt like it was time to bring the heartwarming show to an end. "I think the audience, the fans of the show, have really come to rely on it as like a safe space in a dark time. And the thought of pushing that past its expiration date for the sake of just being able to do another season—I care too much about our viewers and about our characters to risk taking them farther than they need to be taken," Levy explained to E! News. "So, it was always planned that this was going to be the end. And I really had no interest in pushing that any further and potentially compromising a good thing."

The sixth and final season airs on premieres Jan. 7 on Pop/CBC, though it will be available to stream on Netflix later in the year. Will you be tuning in?
