This isn't the first time Urban's taken on Swift's hit song "Lover." Earlier this year the country singer delivered a surprise solo rendition of the track at one of his concerts and shared it to social media.
"Every now and then you hear a song that you love and wish you'd written," Urban shared at the time. "And a HUGE thx to my band as well- we didn't get to rehearse so...this is us fully winging it."
Swift could not contain her excitement after hearing about Urban's performance. "Keith Urban covering Lover flawlessly," she wrote on her Instagram story. "I am screaming. This is so beautiful." She also shared that her “heart exploded into confetti hearts.”
Most recently, Urban dropped the music video to his festive love song "I'll Be Your Santa Tonight." The song, co-written by Urban alongside Shane McAnally, marks the country star's first-ever holiday song.
"I've always wanted to record a Christmas song, but I really wanted to try and write something new," Urban says. "So, Shane came to my house and we wrote, really about a Christmas gone terribly wrong. No snow. Too much fog. Nobody can make it to the party. It's going to be a colorless Christmas, until her man comes through."
