Ahead of the episode's debut scheduled for Saturday (December 28), Morris shared a couple photos and videos from the experience. One clip posted shows Morris singing "Happy Birthday" to Hurd alongside the full cast of Sesame Street.
"I can't wait for you to finally see my Sesame Street episode. We filmed it on Ryan's birthday and we cannot wait to someday show our little one it," Morris captioned her Instagram post.
It just so happens that Morris and Hurd's Sesame Street episode comes during an exciting time for the couple as they prepare for their first child, a baby boy to arrive. The couple announced their pregnancy on Instagram in October of 2019.
"The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the 'GIRL' headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out. See you in 2020, little one," Morris captioned the post at the time.
She later explained that she was initially shocked by the news she was having a boy instead of a girl because of the energy she's given off lately with her music and the fact that she's constantly surrounded by women.
"I've never really had a male sibling or anything like that, so I had just felt like I'm gonna have a girl 'cause I'm constantly surrounded by women," she says, adding, "And I put a record out this year called GIRL. And nope- the test said it was a boy!"
Despite the initial shock, the "My Church" singer makes it clear she wasn't disappointed either. “Honestly, I was so happy with either," Morris continued. "But I’ve heard from a lot of boy moms since we released our news and they’re just like, ‘They love their mothers forever!’"
Morris and Hurd's baby boy is expected sometime in late March or early April.
