BTS' new album, Map of the Soul: 7, is dropping next month.

On Tuesday (January 7), BigHit Entertainment announced that the K-pop sensation's new project will drop on February 21. "Hello. BTS Map of the Soul: 7 will be released on Friday, February 21," the agency wrote on Twitter via the website Weverse. "Pre-orders will begin on Thursday, January 9. Additional details about the new release will be available on BTS Weverse and the fan cafe. We look forward to continued interest and support from all of ARMY."

News of their new album comes five months after they told fans that they'd be taking an "extended period of rest and relaxation." In addition to Map of the Soul: 7, a BTS-based TV drama is scheduled for release sometime in the second half of 2020. It's set to tell how V, Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, SUGA, RM, and J-Hope first met.
