In a story we covered last night, Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell claimed he believed signing Ngakoue this offseason should be "relatively easy" and that it would be the teams #1 Priority this offseason. Since those comments were made public, Yannick has fired off a series of cryptic tweets.
Master of my fate.

Don’t believe everything you hear.

OK. Could Yannick Ngakoue be having some type of religious experience or spiritual break though? Potentially. But, I mean, c'mon. We all know what this is. Yan is not trying to play for the Jaguars this year unless they make him the highest paid defensive player in the NFL. Caldwell thinks the deal should be easy. There is a clear disconnect here. I think it's best to just go ahead and rip this band-aid off now and accept that Ngakoue has played his last snap as a Jaguar. The writing is on the wall (of all his social media pages, for months now).
