My Chemical Romance Announces First North American Tour In 9 Years

By Lindsey Smith

January 29, 2020

The cryptic videos and photos over the past few weeks have all come down to this: My Chemical Romance has officially confirmed a 2020 North American tour.

On Wednesday (January 29), the band directed fans to its website and YouTube page to watch a dramatic 13-minute video simply titled, “A summoning…”

Filled with tons of references to the band and past videos, the clip concluded with what we've all been waiting for: the list of tour dates.

Fans were more than certain yesterday that My Chemical Romance was just days away from confirming a tour after a fan cracked the code of the mysterious symbols uploaded to social media.

The newly announced North American dates go on sale this Friday (January 31) at noon local time and the band is hitting over a dozen cities. Judging by how quickly MCR's first comeback show in LA last December sold out, you'll want to get your fingers prepared to secure seats!

The band has not yet revealed if its working on a new album but given the fact MCR's last album was released an entire decade ago, we can hopefully be hearing new songs sooner rather than later. But for now, I think we can all agree a tour is good enough!
