Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially stepped down as full time working members of the Royal Family. In addition to losing their HRH titles and their royal duties, Harry and Meghan will no longer receive public funding from the British taxpayers. In their statement announcing the big change, the Sussexes spoke of their desire to become financially independent and build a more private life for themselves outside the monarchy.

Shortly after Meghan and Harry announced they'd be stepping down, reports of voiceover deal between Meghan and Disney broke shortly after. Though her earnings for that project, of which little is currently known, were donated to an elephant conservation charity, it seems Meghan is ready to start making moves to achieve financial independence. “Meghan is actively looking for representation. She has begun outreach,” a source told Us Weekly. “It can be a manager or an agent, but she’s reaching out to people to find someone to represent her for future professional projects.”

Another source previously revealed that Meghan "loves the idea of being the breadwinner" for her family. Despite her success as an actress and lifestyle blogger before marrying Prince Harry, Meghan doesn't have plans to go back to acting. “She has no plans to do another show like Suits, but Harry’s been encouraging her to do more voice-over work, writing, producing and directing in her free time," the sourced revealed.

Meghan, of course, was already estimated to be worth about $7 million when she started dating her now-husband. Despite her success, Meghan enjoys working and is ready to get back to it after all the recent drama. “She doesn’t come from millions,” the insider added. “She’s worked hard to get to where she is today.”

No matter what the future holds, Meghan is “so happy” with how everything turned out and Harry is “really excited,” too.
