Offset has since been released after being detained with three other individuals last night (January 29) at a Los Angeles shopping center.

As seen on fan-shot footage obtained by the celebrity gossip outlet, the “Clout” rapper was among the group of people who were apprehended inside the parking structure of The Grove shopping center, where law enforcement responded to a call about a person with a gun before 8 p.m. Police sources told TMZ the person with the weapon was believed to have fled the scene before cops arrived to book Offset and his entourage.

In the shocking video clip, below, the 28-year-old, sporting a yellow hoodie, can be seen and heard arguing with police, demanding an explanation from the officer forcing him into handcuffs and pressing him against a wall. Despite the optics of the situation, TMZ indicated, at the time, it was unclear whether Offset or anyone from his posse actually carried a weapon on them.

However, in an update hours later, TMZ reported that law enforcement did seize two guns and that Offset and three others were taken in for further questioning. No arrests were made, though the Migos member was eventually let go after two detainees confessed the guns that were discovered belonged to them.

Offset's last run-un with the law was in May 2019, when an arrest warrant was put out on the star after he allegedly broke a fan's cellphone for recording him inside a Target store.
