Luke Combs made his Saturday Night Live musical guest debut during the pre-Super Bowl episode hosted by JJ Watt.
During the February 1 show, Combs performed "Lovin' On You," from his 2019 sophomore album, What You See Is What You Get. For his second performance of the evening, the country star delivered a rowdy performance of his No. 1 hit single, "Beer Never Broke My Heart." Both live performances can be seen below.
Combs SNL appearance is yet another milestone moment for the country singer who's been on the rise since the release of his debut album, This One's For You, in 2017. In 2019, he dropped his sophomore album, What You See Is What You Get. His previous single, "Even Though I'm Leaving" marked Combs' seventh consecutive chart-topping single. The hit-maker is aiming for his eighth hit with his brand-new single, "Does To Me," featuring Eric Church.
What was once a far-out dream, became a reality when Church agreed to join Combs on the new single. "I loved the song when we wrote it back in 2016 and thought it sounded like a Church song," Combs previously explained. "We joked about getting it to him, but at the time we had no way to get in touch with him."
He continued on to explain how after a few years went by, he started to think there might be a chance he could get Church on board.
"I never wanted Eric to feel like it was something he had to be a part of, but thankfully he loved the song when I sent it to him and helped us take it to another level," Combs said, adding, "Crazy to think this will already be my 8th single, which is already more than I could’ve ever dreamed of, but this is one of the coolest moments of our careers so far- a single with one of our biggest musical inspirations."
Combs will hit the road for his "What You See Is What You Get Tour" kicking off on February 7 in Columbia, MO. He'll make stops in cities including Houston, Lexington, Grand Rapids and more before concluding the run in April.
Joining Combs' on the trek around the country will be Ashley McBryde and Drew Parker. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.
