Erykah Badu To Unveil Fragrance That Smells Like Her Vagina

Curious minds will finally know what Erykah Badu’s nether regions smell like.
On Wednesday (February 5), the “Apple Tree” songstress announced she’ll be releasing a line of vaginally-scented incenses distilled from her used panties. The intimate item, aptly branded as “Badu’s P—y,” is the latest endeavor to be available for purchase from her online store, Badu World Market.
“There’s an urban legend that my p— changes men,” the 48-year-old told 10 Magazine unabashedly of her one-of-a-kind aroma. “The men that I fall in love with, and fall in love with me, change jobs and lives.”
Describing the alchemy behind the intimate endeavor, she explained, “I took lots of pairs of my panties, cut them up into little pieces and burned them. Even the ash is part of it.” Given Badu’s spiritual connection to her feminine anatomy, it should be noted the recording artist admits she “stopped wearing anything down there a while back,” so when asked if the process of purging her underwear drawer was personal, she graciously replied, “Yeah, man! The people deserve it!”
As unconventional as it sounds, there’s a growing market for vagina-centric fragrances. Gwyneth Paltrow’s coveted “This Smells Like My Vagina” candle — described to have a “funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent” — recently sold out in her Goop shop ahead of the New Year.
