2020 is looking up.

Wendy's made a major announcement on Tuesday (February 5): they're launching a brand new breakfast menu. The fast food chain shared the news on Twitter with a cheeky "roast" of McDonald's. Hey [McDonald's], roast us," Wendy's wrote, then quickly followed up with another tweet: "Yeah, we wouldn't wake up for your breakfast either. Don't worry, on 3/2 there will be something worth waking up for."

The new breakfast menu at Wendy's will have “bold new morning options,” such as the Breakfast Baconator, Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit and Frosty-ccino. That last new item is a caffeinated milkshake, just in case you're craving a milkshake before the work day starts.

Kurt Kane, President, U.S. and Chief Commercial Officer of The Wendy's Company, opened up about the decision to expand the chain's breakfast options in a press release. “We've crafted unique sandwiches that will leave you craving another, like the Breakfast Baconator, which features a fresh-cracked egg, signature sausage patty and six strips of Applewood smoked bacon," he wrote.

"People deserve a delicious, affordable and higher quality breakfast than what they're currently getting, so that's exactly what we're going to serve when Wendy's launches breakfast nationally" the statement adds. "Our crew will be hand-cracking fresh eggs on all our breakfast sandwiches and leaning into the quality ingredients that have long set Wendy's apart from the competition."

Wendy's new breakfast menu launches nationwide on March 2. Will you be giving it a try?
