Folks were shocked when Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin took to a courthouse in September 2018 and tied the knot after just months of reconciling. In Episode 7 of the former's YouTube docuseries, Seasons, which premiered on Monday (February 10) for YouTube Premium subscribers, viewers learned a bit more about their speedy decision straight from the couple.

"It was really funny because we got engaged, and we we were like, 'Yeah, we're not in a rush to plan a wedding. We're chilling,'" Baldwin explained, before confessing of a last-minute change in priorities. "We wanted to live together, we wanted to move in together, and we didn't believe in doing that until we were married, so we got legally married."

It's a big step for the pair, who had briefly dated in 2016, but the quick decision also gave each other the opportunity to grow as a couple as they shared a roof over their head. "Moving in together and living together and getting to share space with each other and just keep learning more about each other just took away all the pressure of the scary part of getting married," she explained during the episode. Still, the star confessed that she didn't want to look back and say she never got to walk down the aisle alongside her father.

So, for their private ceremony at the Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina, the pair invited the people "who had been very super involved in the journey" of their romance. As for planning the nuptials, Baldwin confessed that she did most of the work, but in the least bridezilla way possible. "I'm not really a big bridal person." she said. "I'm not crazy about it. I'm obviously involved in the planning and I know what I want, but I'm not letting the details stress me out."

When it came down to Bieber's talk of wedding preparations, he was as straightforward as can be. "I just basically showed up," he said. Expect more from the superstar when his new album, Changes, drops on Friday!
