Presidential Candidate Joe Biden Campaigns Ahead Of Primary In South Carolina

Former Vice President Joe Biden's campaign has life after a decisive victory in the South Carolina Democratic primary. He was declared the projected winner just minutes after the polls closed. He is expected to take the lion's share of the 54 delegates giving his campaign a massive boost of momentum going into Super Tuesday.

According to exit polls conducted by NBC Newsthe electorate in South Carolina was the most diverse of the early races, and black voters heavily supported Biden. The polls also found that more than half of the voters said they did not care about the issues, as much as they wanted a candidate who could defeat President Donald Trump in the general election in November.

Biden still has ground to make up if he wishes to win the nomination. Next week could make or break the campaigns of many of the candidates running. On Tuesday (March 3), more than one-third of all delegates for the Democratic National Convention will be up for grabs as voters in 14 states and one U.S. territory head to the polls.
