Jimmie Allen And Fiancée Welcome Baby Girl, Naomi Betty Allen

Jimmie Allen and his fiancée, Alexis Gale, are officially the proud parents of a baby girl named Naomi Betty Allen. The couple welcomed baby Naomi to the world on March 1.

On the same day, the country singer received news that his single, "Make Me Want To" hit No. 1 on the Mediabase charts. "I thought getting a number one [single] was going to be the best part of my day, but then my daughter, Naomi, was born yesterday," Allen shared in an interview.

"The baby's middle name is Betty, we named her after my grandma [who passed away in 2014], so her initials are NBA, go figure. And my grandma's birthday was actually March 13, my mom's birthday is March 7 and Naomi's birthday is March 1. And [fiancee] Lexi is laying right here looking awesome."

Naomi is the couple's first child together, though Allen is also the father of a 5-year-old boy named Aadyn.

"It’s going to be great watching her and her big brother Aadyn grow up together,” Allen previously said. “And of course she’s going to have custom Disney Princess dresses.”

The "Best Shot" singer, who's also an avid Disney fan, proposed to Gale in July 2019 also while visiting Walt Disney World. After exploring the park together, Allen got down on one knee to pop the question in front of the castle at Magic Kingdom.

With a baby girl in the picture now, Allen has another reason to return to Disney. "The crazy thing is, I've always wanted to have a reason to go into the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, and now I’ve got the best reason: my daughter," he says.

Until the new-born is ready for Disney, Allen will spend his time on tour and working on his new album. On Friday (February 21), Allen released a new duet with Noah Cyrus titled "This Is Us."

In a recent interview, Allen spoke about his new music. "I have so many people that will comment on my stuff all the time and say, 'You're a country artist. Do this more country, do that more country.' And I always tell every artist and songwriter, 'Make the music you love. Let everyone else worry about labeling it," he said.

This isn't the first time Allen has worked with artists outside of country music. He previously hinted at upcoming collaborations with Matchbox Twenty's lead singer, Rob Thomas and Fugees member Wyclef Jean. Additionally he's hinted at projects with R&B singer, Keke Palmer, and gospel artist, Kelly Price. As far as collaborations within country music, Allen dreams of working with the one and only, Shania Twain.

Allen released his debut album, Mercury Lane, featuring the hit single, "Best Shot" in 2018. "This Is Us" is out now and can be heard below.
