Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron has broken his silence following the sudden death of his mother, Andrea.
Taking to Instagram on Monday (March 2), the 27-year-old reflected on the heartbreaking loss with an emotional tribute dedicated to Andrea, who Us Weekly confirmed had passed away on Thursday (February 27) after a “family emergency.”
"Today heaven gained an angel," Tyler wrote along with a photograph of him and others holding Andrea's hand in her last moments. "We will love and miss our mother dearly. She will live on through us and through those that she has had an impact on. While we grieve, we ask for two things: First, tell those you love that you love them; and second, please let us take this time to celebrate her life in private. Thank you for all of your love and support. ❤️"
Hours prior to Andrea’s passing, Tyler had told fans on Twitter that the emergency would cause him to cancel his Good Morning America guest appearance the Friday after. “Have to cancel GMA group run tomorrow. Family emergency. Please pray for my mom and my family,” he tweeted at the time.
"Tyler is utterly devastated and in shock," a family source told Us. "It doesn’t feel real. His entire family is strong as hell but their world has been shattered."
Four months ago, the model posted a touching moment on Instagram with Andrea, who was waiting at the finish line to congratulate her oldest son for finishing the New York City Marathon. “So grateful for all of the support that I got from my family, friends, and BN!” Tyler captioned the snapshot of the pair at the time.
Andrea, who worked in real estate in Florida, is survived by her husband, Jeff, and their three sons, Tyler, Ryan, and Austin.
