Former Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron tragically lost his mother, Andrea, after a "family emergency" on February 29. Though the 27-year-old reality star confirmed his mother's passing with a heartbreaking Instagram post, he did not disclose the cause of Andrea's death. On Wednesday (March 4), Florida’s The Palm Beach Post published the 55-year-old's obituary and revealed she passed away after suffering a brain aneurysm.
Tyler and his two brothers spoke about their mother in the obituary, as well. “She was a mom to so many,” Tyler said of Andrea. He also shared how supportive his mother was, especially when he decided to star on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette. “She was super supportive,” he said. “But what was so amazing ... she was supportive for (Hannah) and everyone else who was a part of that show but she was also supportive to the random fans.”
“My mom didn’t care who you were, where you came from, what you’ve done or anything at all,” Tyler's brother, Ryan Cameron, said. “She saw everyone as the same. She just wanted to help everybody and help them out with whatever they needed help with.”
Tyler also told the Palm Beach Post that her unexpected passing at such a young age "hurts because there were so many cool things for us to do down the road but I’m grateful I got to spend that kind of event and moment with her."
After he shared the devastating news that he lost his mother on Instagram, Tyler received an outpouring of love and support from his friends and followers. Hannah was one of the first to comment, simply leaving a heart for her former flame. Andy Cohen wrote, "I am so sorry for your loss," while fellow Bachelorette alum Mike Johnson added "love you and your family brother."
Rest in peace, Andrea.
