Coronavirus isn't going to stop Gloria Gaynor from spreading some optimism across the globe.
Earlier this week, Gaynor joined in on the TikTok movement, otherwise known as the #IWillSurviveChallenge. While lip-syncing to her 1979 smash, the disco legend is seen wetting her hands and scrubbing every crevice with soap. "It only takes :20 seconds to 'SURVIVE!'" she wrote in the caption. At time of press, the post had been liked almost 12,000.
In a separate tweet, Gaynor wrote, "'I Will Survive' has given hope, encouragement and inspiration to fans around the globe. It’s my hope that this song continues to bless & heal during these trying times." Earlier this week, the hit celebrated its 41-year-anniversary of topping the Billboard charts.
