The Duke & Duchess Of Sussex Visit South Africa

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle completed their final royal engagements earlier this week. While Queen Elizabeth had been hoping to spend some time with her great-grandson Archie, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to leave their infant son behind in Canada. It turns out they made the difficult decision to be without their son for an extended period of time over concerns about coronavirus.

A source close to the Sussexes' told People the devoted parents stayed close to Archie by "FaceTiming with him everyday." Though Harry and Meghan took extra precaution to keep Archie safe amid the global pandemic, their baby boy is "doing great" in Canada, according to the source. “He’s grabbing onto things and picking himself up. He’s starting to have movement, which is really exciting.”

While Harry and Meghan's transition has been bittersweet for them, they're reportedly quite happy with their decision overall. "They are enjoying living a quiet life,” another source told People. “They go for long walks, they do yoga, and Meghan cooks. They are real homebodies who love to chill out with Archie and the dogs.”

“They are really happy,” the source continued. “Harry is the best dad — he’s so into it. And Meghan is a natural.” Now that they're done with their royal duties for at least the next twelve months, the Sussexes' are probably looking forward to getting back to Canada and reuniting with their son.
