Popular Arizona Tourist Destination In Grand Canyon Closed Amid Outbreak

The Havasupai Tribal Council said tourists with reservations for the campgrounds or the lodge during the 30-day suspension can reschedule their trips for dates in 2021.

A popular tourist destination near Grand Canyon that is famous for it's waterfall is temporarily closing amid growing coronavirus concerns.

The Havasupai Tribal Council announced it will suspend tourist operations for 30 days, starting Monday.

According to a recent AZFamily article,

“The health and safety of the many tourists who visit as well as our tribal members, employees and consultants is very important to us,” Havasupai Chairwoman Eva Kissoon said.
