Carnival Cruises offers ships as hospitals for non-coronavirus patients

Whatever floats their boats.

Carnival Corporation released a statement on March 19th offering their cruise ships to be used as temporary hospitals for non-COVID-19 patients in an effort to “help relieve pressure on land-based hospitals and free up capacity to care for cases of COVID-19.”

The cruise line claims that the “ships are capable of being quickly provisioned to serve as hospitals with up to 1,000 hospital rooms that can treat patients suffering from less critical, non-COVID-19 conditions.”

My question is will the patients still be treated to steel drums and daiquiris by the pool? Read the statement below:
