Idris Elba, like many who've been quarantined due to the novel coronavirus, has found creative ways to pass the time. The award-winning actor revealed earlier this week that he had been tested positive for COVID-19. Although he has not experienced any of the listed symptoms, he has made sure to educate the public on practicing safety and social distancing.
"I had a headache and body aches on the day I tested but that's been it," he posted onto Twitter.
I really didn’t have poorly days... I had a headache and body aches on the day I tested but that’s been it.

Since spending his time at home, Elba decided to drop a track talking about his experience with the virus. The Instagram music video, captioned, "The long road 2. Creating is living right now. Music therapy," Idris urges people to take COVID-19 seriously.
"I guess it's time to do a direct talk," he says in the clip before dropping bars about being separated due to his coronavirus diagnosis. "Feels appropriate, I guess. Yeah, sittin' in the spare room quarantined, you know what I mean? Just letting out some thoughts." Then, he raps, "This ain't a dream / This ain't a movie or a scene / This ain't a character I get to play and then I walk away / This is the real f*cking thing / And every word that I say ain't a line /It's really mine / The tears ain't makeup / I couldn't make this up / I ain't lying / My leading lady is really my wife / She ain't a stunt woman but she really risking her life."
On March 16th, Idris posted a video to Twitter revealing his diagnosis.
"This morning I tested positive for Covid 19," he captioned the clip, which included an appearance from his wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba. "I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I'm doing. No panic."

"Now is the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands… Transparency is probably the best thing for this right now."
Elba joins a list of Hollywood stars, who have also tested positive for coronavirus. Among the other names include Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Olga Kurylenko and more.
