Bon Jovi’s David Bryan Tests Positive For Coronavirus

David Bryan of Bon Jovi has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

The keyboardist and founding member of the band broke the news on social media on Saturday (March 21). “I just got my results back today and tested positive for corona virus,” the Tony Award-winner shared on Instagram. Despite his diagnosis, Bryan assured fans he has seen improvements in his health condition, telling followers, “I’ve been sick for a week and feeling better each day.”

"Please don’t be afraid!!! It’s the flu not the plague,” he added. “I’ve have been quarantined for a week and will for another week. And when I feel better I’ll get tested again to make sure I’m free of this nasty virus. Please help out each other. This will be over soon... with the help of every American!!"

Hours after the 58-year-old revealed his diagnosis, fellow bandmate Jon Bon Jovi reacted to Chicagoans performing a sing-along of "Livin' on a Prayer" from their windows later that night. "I'm just warming up getting ready to sing along with you. In these trying times, I am with you with all of my heart and my soul," Bon Jovi responded while playing guitar in a video via Instagram. "Sing it out, baby. We're all going to come through this together."

Bryan joins a growing list of celebrities who have contracted COVID-19 (coronavirus) amid the ongoing outbreak. Andy Cohen, Tom HanksRita WilsonIdris ElbaKristofer HivjuCaroline Polachek, and many other stars have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Per recent stats, over 26,800 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the United States alone, whereas more than 340 have died due to the disease.
