On Sunday (March 29), many of of our favorite artists came together to honor the medical professionals and first responders who are fighting COVID-19 on the front lines with a special concert series. As we continue to deal with the global pandemic—whether you're practicing social distancing staying home or taking care of those in needs in hospitals and doctor's offices across the country— these talented artists helped bring everyone together through their music, which they played live straight from their own living rooms, and shared with all of us.
Dave Grohl is one of the many musicians who participated in iHeartRadio's Living Room Concerts for America. The Foo Fighters frontman sang his emotional song 'My Hero' from his home in Hawaii. Before he began playing the acoustic song, he took a moment to dedicated his performance "to everyone on the front lines doing their best to get us through all of this."
The lyrics to Grohl's song are particularly meaningful in these uncertain times—especially with his meaningful dedication to those on the front lines of this pandemic. "There goes my hero/Watch him as he goes," Grohl sings in his special performance. "There goes my hero/He's ordinary."
You can support two of many charitable organizations that are helping victims and first responders during this difficult time —Feeding AmericaandFirst Responders Children's Foundation. Every dollar raised from the COVID-19 response fund for Feeding America will be used to get food and funds to local food banks across the US and FOX Entertainment is matching the first $100,000 donated from supporters. Money raised for First Responders Children's Foundation will help support those first responder families who are enduring financial hardship due to the coronavirus outbreak.
