McMaster Orders Closure Of Non-Essential Businesses

Governor Henry McMaster today ordered the closure of all non-essential businesses in the state effective Apri1st.

The State Newspaper reports affected businesses include gyms, spas, nightclubs, barber shops, hair salons, tattoo parlors, waxing salons, fitness centers, bowling alleys, arcades, racetracks, indoor children’s play areas, theaters, planetariums, museums and performing arts centers.

Essential businesses including grocery stores, drug stores, pharmacies, banks and gas stations will also be allowed to stay open as will big box stores that sell groceries are also deemed essential.

Restaurant’s that offer take out or curbside pickup can remain open.

McMaster has not ordered a shelter-in-place for South Carolina.
