Babyface Reveals He & His Family Tested Positive For COVID-19

Babyface and his family are on the mend after testing positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus).
The singer-songwriter, whose real name is Kenny Edmonds, announced the news of his recovery in a statement shared via social media on his birthday, Friday (April 10).
"I feel so blessed to be able to celebrate another birthday. I tested positive for Covid19, as did my family. It's an incredibly scary thing to go through my friends," the R&B crooner and producer shared in a message on Twitter. āIām happy to report we have now tested negative and are on our way back to full health.ā

Without providing a timeline of when or how the āWhip Appealā musician and his loved ones contracted the disease, the experience has made the superstar all the more excited to get back to doing what he loves, making music.
Later in his message, the artist revealed heāll be joining Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, and Teddy Riley for an upcoming Instagram Live event, called āCelebration of Black Music Excellence,ā on April in which he and Teddy face-off on the mic. āSo get ready for a night of groove and love,ā the āEvery Time I Close My Eyesā vocalist teased.
The 62-year-old music legend is one of the latest celebrities to recover from the deadly novel coronavirus along with fellow stars like Pink, John Taylor of Duran Duran, Sara Bareilles, and many others. As of Saturday morning (April 11), the United States has just over 500,000 confirmed cases of the disease and more than 18,700 deaths.
