Liam Payne's family time has been impacted by the COVID-19 quarantine.

Speaking with The Sun, the pop star, 26, revealing that he has not seen his three-year-old son, Bear, who he shares with his ex-partner, Cheryl Cole. "It was right around his birthday that [the lockdown] happened. It was one of the first times I was in the country for his birthday and I was ready to go over and I just thought, ‘I don’t know how I feel about it,'" Payne admitted of his March 22nd birthday.

"Me and Cheryl had a very open conversation about visiting, but it’s difficult," the singer continued. "I have a newfound respect for people who have these jobs that mean they have to miss their kids a lot."

Elsewhere in the interview, Payne also revealed that he is speaking with his former One Direction bandmates about a 10-year reunion anniversary project. "We’ve got a 10-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice,” he told the outlet while promoting his new collab with Alesso, "Midnight." To hear a lot of people's voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven’t seen for a long time or never seen before, it's very interesting. At the moment I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say. There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around."
