Brett Eldredge To Release First New Single In Almost Two Years, 'Gabrielle'

Great news for Brett Eldredge fans! The country music star announced he plans to release a new single, "Gabrielle" this week on April 17.

"Ok ok, I'll spill the goods, the World premiere of my new single GABRIELLE is this Friday! I hope it brings you some happiness," he shared on Instagram.

The song, co-written by Eldredge alongside award-winning producers, Daniel Rashian and Ian Fitchuk, is his first single since"Love Someone" released in June 2018. The piano-driven track finds Eldredge singing about a lover from the past.

He explains, "'Gabrielle' is about a love that didn't quite work out and you always wonder what it could have been. It could've ended up being something amazing and you wonder what they're doing in their life right now and go back to those feeling when you hear the song."

"Gabrielle" will likely serve as the lead single to his upcoming fifth studio album. The new project will follow up Eldredge's 2017 self-titled fourth studio album. Further details on his forthcoming new album have yet to be revealed.

Eldredge's new single, "Gabrielle," will be released on Friday, April 17.

Last month, Eldredge re-recorded a new version of his 2011 ballad, "Raymond," which he dedicated to his late grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's disease. The song tells the story of a man who continuously visits an assisted living facility where one of the patients thinks he is her son because she is living with dementia.

"From the moment I watched my grandmother go through this, I knew that I wanted to help make sure that others didn’t have to go through seeing somebody struggling with Alzheimer’s disease,” Eldredge previously shared. "I really do feel that we are going to find a day when Alzheimer’s is no more, and we will sing a lot more songs about it."
