Florida family plays Uno with their son through a window to practice social distancing during coronavirus the lockdown
With times being hard and social distancing causing a lot of separation families are finding unique ways to stick together. Allison and Mike Leatzow from Florida have not been able to see their son since March 20 when the special-needs facility where he lives had to go on lockdown since the coronavirus pandemic.
“It was like going through the stages of grief where we found ourselves angry,” Allison told Fox News. “We bargained — I had a friend who has direct contact with the governor's office to make calls and see if we could get some kind of exception.”
The family abided by the rules but they didn’t let it stop them from spending time together so they did what they could and used the common area outside window to their advantage.
“We visit him daily through the window and play his favorite game of Uno,” Andy’s mom said to FOX 10.
