The Duke And Duchess Of Sussex Visit Ireland

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially living life as non-royals. Though their decision to live a life independent from the crown came as a result of the difficulties they faced as full-time working members of the Royal Family, Prince Harry is reportedly finding his post-royal life just as challenging. At least, according to his good friend Dr. Jane Goodall, that is.

Over the past few years, the Duke of Sussex has become close with Dr. Goodall as a result of their shared passion for environmentalism. In a new interview with Radio Times, Dr. Goodall was asked about her friendship with Harry and how he was managing his new life in Los Angeles. "I don't know how his career is going to map out, but yes, I've been in touch [with Harry]," she shared. "Though I think he's finding life a bit challenging just now."

Dr. Goodall opened up about her friendship with Harry in another interview with the Daily Mail, as well, revealing the Sussexes had been planning their exit for quite some time. When Harry interviewed Dr. Goodall last summer, he confided that he had no plans for his son Archie to grow up the way he did. "At the end [of the interview], Meghan came in to listen with Archie. He was very tiny and very sleepy—not too pleased to be passed from his mummy. I think I was one of the first to cuddle him outside the family," Dr. Goodall recalled. "I made Archie do the queen's wave, saying, 'I suppose he'll have to learn this.' Harry said, 'No, he's not growing up like that.'"

Archie is now living in California with his parents. The Sussex family is reportedly looking for a home in Malibu now, which is where Princess Diana once dreamt of raising her own sons before her tragic passing. Harry and Meghan are reportedly "keen to find a private, beachside home to raise their 10-month-old son Archie." According to The Sun, They're interested in house hunting in Malibu for the same reasons Princess Diana wanted to raise her sons there—it offers the privacy they lacked while living as royals in the U.K.

Little is known right now about what Harry and Meghan plan to do next professionally, though they promise to share more details when the time is right.
