Seven months after the release of his sophomore album, DaBaby has returned with his first full project of 2020, Blame It On Baby.
The 13-track album, which the Charlotte rapper only announced on Tuesday (April 14), features some of the hottest names in music such as Quavo, Future, Roddy Ricch, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Megan Thee Stallion, and Ashanti.
Hours before its release, DaBaby spoke about his recruitment of guest features, sharing his experience working with each artist.
"Album of the year, seven features," he boldly proclaimed of Blame It On Baby before listing the album's guest appearances. DaBaby went on to discuss his connection to each artist, saying, "Everybody featured on this album is just 100% genuine. So you're going to hear it in the music. You gon' hear the chemistry, you gon' hear the vibe. You gon' be able to tell that we ain't just doing sh*t, we making sh*t shake!"
Blame It On Baby arrives 13 months after the release of DaBaby's debut album Baby On Baby. DaBaby dropped the first single off the project, "Find My Way," earlier this month.
As fans know, when the 28-year-old rapper released the single, he also dropped its corresponding music video — a 10-minute short film directed by filmmaking trio Reel Goats. The visual put DaBaby's acting skills on display as he and his girlfriend, played by comedian and influencer B. Simone, commit petty crimes while on the run along the California coast.
