Kelly Clarkson’s new song is a ray of hope during these tough times.

On Friday (April 17), Clarkson debuted an emotional new song called “I Dare You,” a record which draws on the power of faith and love — an anthem needed now more than ever as the world continues to grapple with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

"You may not have a stage, but you still have a voice/ You may not have the strength but if you have a choice, I dare you to love,” Clarkson sings on the uplifting track. “Even if you're hurt and you can only see the worst // Even if you think it's not enough // Oh ... I dare you to love."

In tandem with the song’s original release, the American Idol alum expanded on the song’s message by partnering with musicians across the world for a multi-language sing-along. Performed in five different languages, the global virtual video features Clarkson singing the song in English alongside Zaz (French), Faouzia (Arabic), Blas Cantó (Spanish), Glasperlenspiel (German) and Maya Buskila (Hebrew).

“This is my favorite/hardest project that I’ve ever worked on” the superstar shared in a press statement. “It has always been a dream of mine, as I grew up singing in different languages, to find that perfect song, with the perfect message, to connect us all globally and then record that song with several other artists around the world in their native languages."
