Michelle Money's Daughter Making 'Miracle' Progress Amid Recovery

Michelle Money and Ryan Money couldn’t be more thankful about their daughter’s “miracle” recovery.

A week after revealing their 15-year-old daughter Brielle is back breathing on her own again, Ryan took to Instagram last night (April 16) with more positive news about Brielle since the teen was admitted into the ICU following a skateboarding incident at the end of March.

“In my last post, I said that Brielle came into the Neural Trauma Unit [NTU] ‘guns a blazin’! Well, that was an understatement,” he wrote. “The improvement that Brielle has made in the last four days is nothing short of a miracle. Five days ago, she hadn’t moved for two weeks and had a breathing tube in. Now, we are FaceTiming family members one after another until they get bored of us.”

In my last post, I said that Brielle came into the Neural Trauma Unit [NTU] 'guns a blazin'! Well, that was an understatement. The improvement that Brielle has made in the last 4 days is nothing short of a miracle. 5 days ago she hadn't moved for 2 weeks and had a breathing tube in. Now we are facetiming family members one after another until they get bored of us. Also, Brie has not lost her sense of humor. Just tonight Brie told her uncle Nick that her hair looked better than his and she has had staples and stitches (those coronavirus haircuts are tough)! We all got a good laugh out of that one.  Brie and I cruised the hospital tonight before bed. I pushed the wheelchair but feel like she may have been able to push me. We got back to the room and she stood at the sink, brushed her teeth, and went right to bed. I am really starting to like this. Anyone who is familiar with TBIs knows that she has a ways to go, but we feel like we have the wind at our back and are heading in the right direction. We continue to be indebted to those who are praying for Brielle and our family. We LOVE YOU and appreciate your petitions to God on our behalf. Thank You! 🙏 ❤️

Brielle’s father also also added that, despite her condition, the teenager has “not lost her sense of humor.”

“Just tonight Brie told her Uncle Nick that her hair looked better than his and she has had staples and stitches (those coronavirus haircuts are tough)! We all got a good laugh out of that one,” Ryan recalled. “Brie and I cruised the hospital tonight before bed. I pushed the wheelchair, but feel like she may have been able to push me. We got back to the room and she stood at the sink, brushed her teeth and went right to bed.”

It’s the latest good news we received of Brielle’s progress following last week’s update the family in a clip showing Brielle moving her hand while under sedation. “Brielle started moving and will raise her eyebrows when ‘yelled’ at or pinched," Ryan wrote with a clip shared on the morning of April 9. “She moves her left hand a lot (video) and is getting some expressions in her face. … Brielle, we are so proud of you! For her to start moving made us all cry…”

In a previous update, Brielle’s parents also stated the teen has started talking and eating again.
