This dad got creative for his son during the coronavirus quarantine and made him a DIY full-size retro arcade game from scratch using household items.
Steve Addison, has not really made stuff from scratch but decided to do so for his son, Felix, so they could bond during this quarantine time. He was inspired after being given an Atari for Christmas by his mother-in-law.
He said to LAD Bible "I only played it a couple of times as it took some time to hook it up to the TV. This is what gave me the idea of having an arcade cabinet of my own. We're a video game-loving family, even having a subtle theme used at my wedding.”
He drew up blueprints and made a scale of it out of cardboard and then fit a Rasperry Pi computer with arcade games inside of it as the screen.
