Check out "virtual tour" of Emerald Cave in Arizona to escape your home
April 21, 2020
There is a beautiful green sparkling water cave in Arizona where you can virtually escape from your quarantine. The Emerald Cave is at Emerald Cove in Willow Beach, Arizona. The usual spot is only accessible by boat but now is available virtually.
It is Jello-looking waters especially when the sun shines on it a certain way and it is very green according to ABC 15.
It is two miles from Willow Beach on the Colorado River near the Hoover Dam.
"The Hoover Dam was built at the top of Black Canyon. The first five miles [of the Colorado River] are full of geothermal hot springs that dump fresh mineral water into the rushing river waters," explained Danny Latham, owner and operator of Vegas Glass Kayaks, to ABC 15. "This section of the Colorado River is the cleanest, which makes it the clearest. The Colorado River is notoriously muddy because of the snow runoff that feeds into the stream.”
